SANY Sensors Anywhere

SANY IP aims at improving the interoperability and usability of environmental sensor networks. Far from being alone in this quest, SANY is a part of a rich ICT ecosphere of research projects and standardization bodies. In particular, SANY has strong links to:

• Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), especially to Sensor Web Enablement working Group (OGC SWE).
  
• Generic RM-OA architecture developed by ORCHESTRA IP (OGC best practices paper No. 07-097).
  
• Other research projects in the "FP6 Monitoring cluster": DEWS, DYVINE, EU-FIRE, INTAMAP, OSIRIS IP, SCIER, WARMER and WINSOC.

Finally, SANY acknowledges the work of the GIGAS project, which analysed the SensorSA architecture v1 and gave a valuable feedback that will be used in the last SANY development cycle.
